I have been at the Frimley Green medical centre for many years and was also a patient at Ash Vale before that and seen different doctors in that time and over all the help and advice has got me through some tough times. However since the introduction of telephone only consultations I am extremely disappointed in the way the practice is heading. I think the patient should be given the choice of the type of consultation they require. A doctor will not always want to see a patient but they are providing a service and I believe that most patients would want a face to face consultation for reassurance. Things can be missed on the phone and surely doctors are trained to notice things about a patients appearance and behaviour which is part of the diagnosis but will now be missed on the phone. I don't believe this is the way forward at all. To have to justify yourself for a face to face appointment over the phone is wrong and if you feel that Ill you won't have the strength to do so. It's extremely sad when the practice has been so proffesional and helpful over the years to suddenly change. I'm extremely disappointed with there desicion to do this and it feels very unfriendly now. I had a telephone consultation today and the whole event felt rushed and left me feeling confused and still worried about the symptoms I am having. I would not recommend this practice if this is now the type of service they offer.

I have been a patient at the surgery for about 3 years and have consistently received excellent medical care. In particular, I have found Dr Buckle to be especially helpful , professional and caring and would like her to be recognised for this. If there is any aspect that could be improved would be how long term medications are prescribed. Currently, medications are often only prescribed for a few weeks at a time, even where it is know with certainty that the medication will be required for life. This wastes valuable time for the surgery doctors, the dispensing pharmacist and busy patients. It also causes frustration and the risk of running out of critical medication. My suggestion would be to simply lengthen the duration for which the tablets will last, unless there are very good reasons to do otherwise.

I have used the frimley green medical practice for many years. When I Know what is wrong with me, [ie deafness], and ask for a referral, I cant get one because the receptionist is refusing me access to doctors. She arranged a ear syringe with the nurse sophie who said their was no wax in the ear. I phoned and asked for a referral to a ent specialist . I was told by the receptionist this was not possible. I have to see a GP first. It is my ear AND MY HEALTH. I am extremely disappointed in this type of attitude,. Our taxes pay for NHS health services which is the largest employer in the UK. I dont enjoy being told what medical treatment I can and cant have by someone who is unqualified in prognosis at reception. I know my own body and treat my own health with due care. I am the one with the medical condition,. I am seeking solutions not red herrings which is what the reception seems to be doing. Mr Anthony Howes.

All the doctors are & always have been amazingly helpful & supportive to all members of our family since we moved to the area in the 1970s. They are kind, caring & efficient to us all (now spanning 4 generations) as well as non-judgemental & sympathetic to everyone's needs. It's incredible how they've maintained such high standards over the years as the population has increased so much. The nurses, reception staff etc also adhere to consistently high standards & my family & I are very grateful to everyone involved. A great big thank you & commendation to you all.
